Why the PACE Program Works!
A PACE program works on a work/rest format. Alternating between the hydraulic exercise stations and recovery stations. Jogging squares or step benches serve as a 30-40 seconds recovery station. You can begin anywhere in the circuit and start exercising at your own pace. After warm-up, you should try to maintain your target heart rate for the duration of the workout. You decide how hard or fast to push yourself with the help of a PACE Trainer. A PACE workout combines both strength and cardiovascular workouts in 30 minutes.
Intimidation is perhaps the #1 reason people do not join health clubs. PACE is a perfect program because with its unique hydraulic resistance, there is no skill involved, there are no weight stacks, no sore muscles and anyone can do it- and see results quickly! Hydraulic resistance is the only resistance that instantly accommodates to the effort of the user; the harder or faster one pushes, the more the resistance. With hydraulic resistance, you can move to the beat of the music (fast aerobic)- don't try this with any other type of resistance!

The difference between PACE and copycats is the fact that PACE also has adjustable resistance controls for fast, easy changing in resistance. You will never "plateau out" on a PACE machine!
